The Angel is one of LLanidloes' historic
timber framed coaching inns, built in 1748. The low oak beamed
ceiling in the public bar and lounge are full of character and
provide a cozy and attractive environment for meeting and making
friends. They serve traditional ales and there is bar food available
most days between Noon and 2pm and 6-9pm. There is also a quiet
beer garden to the rear of the building.

The Cobblers Tea Rooms is a small and cosy
establishment located in the area known colloquially as the 'Top
of Town'. It is situated in one of a terrace of cottages built
in the 1830s and is one of only a few remaining examples of a
regional type of house, having a central chimney behind a central
main entrance and the principal rooms arranged on either side
of the chimney breast. Once believed to have been a public house
called 'The Comrades Arms' the building has since been divided
into two, with the Cobblers having at various times seen use
as a grocers and confectioners, a furniture emporium and a shoe
shop and cobblers.

In the evenings the Café becomes the venue for world
class jazz performances, DJ's By The Yard and many many other
music and cultural events. We also hire out the Café to
local groups for meetings and the like for a nominal charge.
